2. When will my monthly wine club shipment
arrive?
All of your wine club shipments will arrive the last week of the
month and no later than the first week of the next month depending
on your shipping state. Click here
for details.
3. What if I cannot be home during normal
business hours to receive my wine shipment?
Since an adult signature is required by law to receive a wine
package, many of our customers have their wine shipments sent
to their workplace. The package is discreet and does not indicate
the contents contained within. If you want to change your shipping
address please email us via a secure form or call 800-615-7304.
4. How does your wine club work if I
am paying by check?
If you select a “Bill Me” option you will receive
your first wine shipment with an invoice with the total amount
due. Once that invoice is paid by check your next shipment will
be processed and so on. For their convenience, many of our customers
pay by credit card since it is easy and it avoids having an interruption
in their wine shipments if they forget to send a check or misplace
their bill. If you want to change to a credit card payment option
please call 800-615-7304.
5. Is there a membership fee for your
clubs? Can I cancel at any time?
There is no membership fee. Our Guarantee: If you are not entirely
delighted with every aspect of the club, contact us and we will
make it right. And you may cancel at any time.
6. If I like a wine that I received in
my club shipment can I order more?
Absolutely! Due to the fact that our wines come from small, boutique
wineries, we have limited quantities available and they do sell
out quickly. Simply order more wine online or speak to one of
our expert wine consultants at 800-615-7304.
7. Why can't you ship wine to my state?
Since the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages are
in control of the individual states, we must abide by each
states law. We are constantly trying to offer our wine into
new states. When a state comes available for shipping we will
immediately add it to the website. Check back often for your
states availability. Click here for more
information regarding the recent Supreme Court ruling regarding
wine shipping.
8. What is the proper way to store opened bottles of wine?
Please try the following storing tips for both white and red
wines to prevent spoiling. Push the cork back in and put the
partially empty bottle into the refrigerator. The wine should
keep for several days. Here are three additional techniques:
-
Keep a few clean, empty half bottles on hand. Pour the unused wine into the smaller bottle and recork.
-
Buy a Vac-U-Vin, it removes oxygen and creates a vacuum to preserve
the wine.
- Small
cans of inert gas sprayed into the bottle replace the oxygen in
the bottle. Then recork and keep refrigerated. These can be purchased
at many local wine shops.
9. What does it mean when a wine is sweet or dry?
A sweet wine is one that has a noticeable level of sweetness in
the taste which is called its residual sugar. A dry wine has no
indication of sweetness, therefore no, or very little, residual
sugar. An off-dry wine is one that is slightly sweet.
10. Is there a certain temperature at
which I should serve wine?
Wines should be served at temperatures they taste best. More specifically,
wine should be served at the temperature you enjoy it. Some whites
and sparking wines taste best chilled because they are most refreshing
served that way. Red wines are typically served unchilled, but
cool. Here are some more detailed guidelines.
- Lighter white wines are best served about 45 degrees.
-
Fuller-bodied white wines are best served about 55 degrees.
-
Red wines taste best-served about 65 degrees.
Serve lighter red wines a little cooler.
